Privacy Policy
Effective date: 23 October 2026
Introduction
This policy explains what information the Eufori GPS Camera app (“the app”) uses, why, and the choices you have. The app is made by Eufori Tech Private Limited (“Eufori Tech”, “we”, “us”), Vaiyapuri Nagar, Kurumbapalayam, Coimbatore 641 107, Tamil Nadu, India.
This policy covers the app on Android and iOS. Our website has its own privacy policy.
1. The short version
- Your photos stay on your phone. The app adds location, time and your notes to photos on your device. We never upload, store or see your photos.
- Location is used only when you take a photo, and only while the camera is open. We do not track you in the background, and your location never reaches our servers.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- The free version shows ads. Premium removes them.
2. Compliance with data-protection laws
We handle personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules. Where they apply to you, we also follow the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
3. Information the app uses and why
| What | Why | Where it goes | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Photos and videos you take | To create stamped photos | Stay on your phone (your gallery and the app’s own storage). Never sent to us. | Until you delete them |
| Precise location (while the camera is open) | To print coordinates, accuracy and altitude on the stamp and in the photo’s EXIF data | Stays on your phone | Saved with each photo until you delete it |
| Address lookup | To print a street address on the stamp | Your phone sends coordinates to its built-in geocoding service: Google on Android, Apple on iOS. They handle it under their own privacy policies. | Addresses are cached on your phone so a place you’ve been needs no new lookup |
| Map tiles | To draw the small map on the stamp | Tiles are downloaded from OpenFreeMap (map data © OpenStreetMap contributors). A tile request reveals the general area (about 2 km across), not your exact position. | Cached on your phone for offline use |
| Projects and notes you type | To print them on the stamp and group photos | Stay on your phone | Until you delete them or uninstall |
| Anonymous app ID, platform, app version, country | To deliver app settings and templates and keep the service working | Our server (Mumbai, India) | Up to 24 months after your last use |
| Purchase status | To unlock Premium and restore purchases | RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play. We never see your card details. | For as long as needed to support your purchase, and as tax law requires |
| App analytics and crash reports | To find bugs and improve the app | Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics) | Per Google’s retention settings (analytics up to 14 months; crash reports 90 days) |
| Advertising data (free version) | To show ads | Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and approximate location to show and measure ads | Per Google’s policies |
| Emails you send us | To answer you | Our mailbox | Up to 24 months after your request is closed |
The app does not collect your name, phone number, contacts, or your photos’ content. It does not need an account.
4. Device permissions
| Permission | Used for | If you say no |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Taking photos | The app can’t take photos |
| Location (“while using the app”) | The stamp’s coordinates, address and map | Photos are stamped with the time and your notes only |
| Photos / media (add only on iOS) | Saving photos to your gallery | Photos stay in the app only |
You can change these at any time in your phone’s settings. The app never asks for background location.
5. Legal bases for processing
- India (DPDP Act): your consent, given when you allow a permission or accept ads consent, and legitimate uses the Act allows (such as providing a service you asked for).
- EEA/UK (GDPR): performance of a contract (providing the app and Premium), consent (personalised ads, analytics where consent is required), and our legitimate interests (keeping the app secure and fixing crashes).
You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 12). Withdrawal doesn’t affect processing done before it.
6. Data sharing and disclosure
We share data only with the service providers listed in section 3, each bound by its own terms and privacy policy:
- Google (Android geocoder, Firebase, AdMob)
- Apple (iOS geocoder, App Store)
- RevenueCat
- OpenFreeMap
- Amazon Web Services (hosting our server)
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, users or the public. If Eufori Tech is merged or sold, this policy continues to apply to data transferred with it.
We do not sell or rent personal data.
7. International transfers
Some providers process data outside India, including in the United States and the EU. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
8. Data retention
- On your phone: photos, projects, notes and cached addresses and map tiles stay until you delete them or uninstall the app.
- iOS app copies: on iOS the app keeps its own copy of each stamped photo for its gallery. You can set these to be removed after 30 or 90 days, or never, in Settings.
- Our server: the anonymous app ID and purchase events are kept for up to 24 months after your last use, then deleted or aggregated.
- Providers: as stated in section 3.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
- receive a copy of it
- object to or restrict its processing
- withdraw consent
- nominate someone to act for you (India)
- complain to your data-protection authority
Because the app doesn’t use accounts, most of your data is on your phone, where you control it directly.
For data we or our providers hold, write to privacy@euforitech.com. We reply within 30 days. To help us find your records, write from the app (Settings → Contact support): the email it opens includes your anonymous app ID.
We don’t discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.
10. Security
Data sent between the app and our server is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Our server stores only the limited data in section 3, with access restricted to the people who need it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
11. Data-breach notification
If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires, including the Data Protection Board of India and CERT-In.
12. Ads and tracking choices
- Consent: where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and UK), the app asks for your consent before showing personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices.
- iOS: the app tracks you across other companies’ apps only if you allow it in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- Premium removes all ads.
13. Children’s privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and in the EEA and UK it is not directed at anyone under 16. In India, we do not knowingly process the data of anyone under 18 without verifiable parental consent, and we do not track or target ads at children.
If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to privacy@euforitech.com and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app.
15. Grievance Officer
In line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the DPDP Act, 2023:
